My Weight Loss Journey

This is my first post so bear with me because I am a virgin at this blogging stuff. I have decided to undergo weight loss surgery and I have chosen to have the lap-band procedure. This is where they place a restrictive band around the top of your stomach to reduce the amount of food you can eat. This can be adjusted so if you need to eat more due to sickness or pregnancy then they can loosen it or tighten it if you are not losing enough weight. I attended my pre-op appointment yesterday which was just an educational class and meeting with my surgeon. I scheduled my surgery for April 21. I know I should be nervous about this and I probrobly will be the day of but I am excited. This will be a big change for me and my family and will change my life....for the better.
